Kevin Ahmadi, Senior Choice at HomeCoronavirus is of utmost concern and our hearts go out to all of those who’ve been affected.  At Senior Choice at Home, the health and safety of our members and staff is our top priority.

Currently, Senior living communities, including Volunteers of America locations, are following CDC, state and local guidance. At this time, visitors and other non-essential workers are restricted from entry in an effort to protect seniors who are most vulnerable to Coronavirus. In addition, all group activities and communal dining is canceled, and all residents and staff are health screened and temperature tested daily. Learn more about our efforts to protect our residents in this story from NBC-2.

As a continuing care community “without walls,” Senior Choice at Home members are encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines for high-risk individuals. Additionally, our concierge care coordinators are connecting with our members to ensure continuity of care and to assist our members in navigating health care needs and addressing any concerns.

Information continues to come in daily, or in some cases, multiple times per day, so we continue to ask our members to limit your exposure to travel and people outside of your family to minimize exposure risks.

At this time, we recommend our Senior Choice at Home members consider restricting non-essential activity outside your home for at least the next 30 days. A multitude of services such as groceries or meal deliveries are available online through various retailers, and our Senior Choice at Home team can assist with resources by calling 239-362-9153.

We appreciate the trust that you’ve put in us to guide you at home and through your health care journey and we will continue to provide updates as available.

Sincerely,

Kevin Ahmadi
